I’ve heard it said before when one person in a relationship “Checks out of the relationshop”…they’re “there” but not really. And at that point.. it all over. Things should ened right there and then.

Well i’ve checked out of this phase in mylife. I’m here…but not really really…silly pointless time wasting things* are what hold my attention atm. And as exciting as that is Monday through Tuesday.. wednesday i’m bored and somewhat unfulfilled with that.

My first instinct is to move… town/country/continent – but that’s not the issues… I love where i live, i’m a joburg girl, my family is here.. and i just bought that fucking car… So, moving location is pretty much not it.

It’s work.. of course it is… I’ve known for this for about a year now. I think for the first part of the year, i made a good show of forcing myself… but now.. i’m out.

Hmm.. Soup.. from woolies… something with meat balls in. Which was a mistake, because last night, at dinner… meat balls with an egg plant bake was served… i’m not really a FAN of meat balls on a good day. Let alone TWICE in one day.

Jees.. this depends on what the advice is i want… there are many places… my parents, my brother, friends, my therapist.. there is no one place.

Dictionary.. i have the app on my phone!!

25. Have you ever been snorkeling? Scuba diving?
Many times i’ve snorkled.. i’ve enver scuba dived.. unless you include being in the pool when my parents did their course..and breathing in their riggs… it’s not really the IT activity of the moment.. now is it?!

• The holiday was amazing – gorgeously amazing.
• We did nothing except eat, drink, sleep, nap, listen to the iPod, swim.
• Everyone should take an Island holiday – they really do have a very special place in the world.
• Island people are tres friendly.

Things which they forget to mention, and you forget to think about in your excitement:

• The holiday is for a limited time – and you’re going to come home.
• There will be 1 million kids on the flight, it will be hectic, and busy – even though it is a 3 hour flight, it is going to feel worse than a European flight.
• Island holidays are extreme. It’s extremely impossible to order a cocktail at 12:05 and roll over for a nap once you’re home.
• You will be depressed once you get home.
• There is language issues… the taxi driver will make your life hard.. and ‘Port Lois for shopping’ will make him take you to every family member he has who has a shop for shopping THERE.

Things which i’ve realised about taking an Island holiday.

• Going with a girlfriend is nice, and it’s fun. Bless BT – But Island holidays make you want sex.
• A lot.
• While you’re lying at the pool warm in the sun, feeling lazy and content. You imagine the feeling of a hand on your thigh… or someone to lead you into the pool, and touch your inappropriately while no one seems to watch.
• When you stand in the 12 man shower – just before dinner… You imagine someone standing behind you, his hands cupping your breasts.
• When you have a few glasses of wine with dinner…walking back to the room, you imagine walking with someone…making a stop at the beach on one of the loungers…

*sigh*

Off to find a boy to take with her to the Islands…

Yesterday, by hook or by crook… i found myself in possession of a rather nice little EOS20D Canon, which i have since claimed as my own. Naturally, when this piece of equipment landed on my lap, i thought nothing of it… point and click, plug and play…

As it turns out, it is somewhat more complicated than i first thought, in fact just turning on the fucking thing created quite a headache. Not to mention to the downloading of pics, finding where the pics had gone too, installing photoshop and and and.

So, now i have pics, some aren’t bad.. some are pretty good. I have to now sort these pics, put some on a disc, upload some online.  Of course i have no idea where to start, they’re huge and there are TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY THREE of them.. as i might be slightly trigger happy!

So yes… i did take the above pic… You can only comment if you have either something nice to say, or if you have good advice.

Of being fetched at the office. Right now. Told we’re going away… told that i need nothing where we were going.

Getting into the car with you, and driving. Driving well out of JHB. Talking and driving. My shoes off, your hand on my thigh. Stealing kisses now and again.

Getting to our destination. A lodge. Out in the bush. Lovely, open, with a huge bed, a huge bath, a private swimming pool… and quiet. With no one around for miles.
